Our Journey

At House, our story began more than 10 years ago, I am Andries and at the time I was 21. Some would say young, naive, and perhaps a bit foolish, but was driven by a single, powerful vision: to change the estate agency industry. I wanted to create a business that was honest, transparent, and focused on helping people – not just closing deals. Despite having little more than ambition and determination on my side, I knew I could build something better, something that would offer a fresh approach in an industry often seen as sales-driven and impersonal.

Starting out on the Isle of Sheppey, my home since 2006, I quickly realised that what people really wanted was not a pushy salesperson, but someone who would guide them with honesty, integrity, and care. So, with a strong belief in doing things the right way, House was founded with the goal of offering a more personal, stress-free experience for anyone looking to move. We became the agency that would go the extra mile, always putting clients first – because they were more than just business, they were people we cared about.

Shortly after opening in 2015, Jo joined the team and became my business partner. Jo brought a wealth of experience in both sales and lettings, vision, and a shared passion for changing the industry. Together, we have shaped House into the trusted, independent agency it is today. Jo’s expertise and insight helped strengthen our commitment to honesty, transparency, and a customer-first approach. We quickly built a reputation for being different – not driven by targets or quotas, but by a genuine desire to offer the best service possible.

Our team, which has been naturally growing since the beginning, is like family. We treat every client as we would a close friend, offering clear communication, expert advice, and unwavering support throughout the entire moving process. We are proud to have stayed true to our original mission – changing the industry by offering something real, something human, and something that truly benefits our clients.
